    Tractor maintenance/repair this morning.

The air compressor on the air ride seat wasn't working yesterday. Ended up just being the electrical connector for the seat wasn't plugged in all the way.

I also noticed that the HST+ selector lever on the steering column felt pretty loose and sloppy. Pulled the steering column cover off and the clamp was just loose.

Two easy fixes...hope I didn't use up all my luck for the rest of the week.

No work pictures yet, but wanted to give a shout to our friend V F Souter. Might recognize him from some of our posts about stump grinding or pines galore thread. He had been a diehard green/yellow fan, he has had several problems with dealer and tractor, they didn't even give him a quote when he wanted to trade.
So, we told him about our Orange dealer, he emailed them and had quote next day. Took a few weeks to get it built like he wanted, it was delivered today...

    He's learning it.... 20260710_103654.jpg
He had seen the front and side guards we got for Big Orange Crush from Broken Anvil Metalworks in MI. He ordered from them, got a custom front grill...he said we had taken Orange Crush, he named it NACHO...
    20260710_113914.jpg
    And side guards... 20260710_113921.jpg
We helped him get those on this morning.
He got 3rd function, canopy, extra lights and Quick Connect. He also is waiting on the 4 n 1 bucket. He wants to try out our grapples, probably add one in the fall.

I probably won't buy another subcompact tractor in my lifetime, but if I do. it won't be green.

I think I could go green if it was one of the old Case airborne tractors...

There are several things I am less than happy with on my 2017 1023. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I needed a new battery. It sits in front of the radiator and should be an easy change out. Nope! I disconnected the cables and tried to lift it out. WTF? There must be a panel I need to remove. Check Youtube. Two different people show how you have to shorten 2 bolts and remove a headlight to get the battery out. What a pain! At least if I need another battery the bolts are shortened. Some overpaid genius in Moline who has never tinkered.

I didn't make it out to the woods until this morning but got about 3 acres tilled and ready to seed.

Looks like you need to spend more time in that blind outside of deer season.
