Good Morning, Brothers & Sisters Thread

They were good. Most of them ended up in the freezer. We had a change of plans yesterday and decided not to make jam with these peaches but we will pick up more later this month when Tree Ripe is in the area again. A peach pie will be made today, hopefully.

 

Morning all. Overcast and rainy. Inside day today for the dogs who come in with wet feet and want to get up on my lap.

We got the church lawn mowed yesterday - just in time as we will have rain for a couple of days.
Today we vacuum the church carpets.

All this talk about fresh corn and peaches. On our trip we stopped in the Okanagan Valley where a lot of the province's fresh fruit comes from. Apricots and cherries were available. A few peaches but still pretty green. I like the Rainier cherries but they were almost over. I knew we had a busy schedule when we got back so I didn't pick any up to can or jam. I haven't actually done any canning or jamming for a few years. Maybe next year.

We ended up with 3 inches of rain. A much needed soaking. That leaves us about 5 inches below average for '26.

We'll be catching up with my brother and his wife, as well as a daughter of theirs, with her 3 kids, who flew in from GA yesterday. We'll be all having pizza for lunch at my mom's.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. Goat Town Weather Channel says it's 73⁰ heading to 95⁰ sunny. First night done, got a bit of tractor mowing to do this morning, then again, another 6PM-6AM of cooking dirt.
I'm very blessed, 2nd time I've lost my phone off the tractor, 1st time was moving logs and rear tire ran it over, cracked screen protector...yesterday it fell off while mowing...found it with grass stuck to it, under mowed grass...just the Hand of GOD saved it.
Just like HE can save us.

Good morning everyone. Rebuilding a just finished wall because the architect wants a 12 foot door instead of 2 windows in this office. And they have to build a new balcony in this spot. Wish they figured this out 3 months ago.

Morning all. Unexpecting sunny this morning. Rain off and on for most of yesterday.

Don't know what today will bring. Hopefully another Blue Jays win?

Yesterday, Lily, the youngest, went for an unauthorized adventure walk through the neighbourhood. As I trailed along behind trying to keep track of her, she went over a berm into the back yard of a house lot. I went up the berm and slid down the other side, landing on my worse knee, bending it completely which I can't do normally. Ten minutes later as I limped behind her, she took pity on me and let me pick her up. At 10 months, her hearing her name being called is the command to go the other way. Meanwhile, campinspecter is trying to find us with the car with Lady with him. Lady decides to go through an open window after two dogs she saw. campinspecter grabbed her collar and kept her in the car but in the process, she knocked his glasses off. He managed to get home with the car, find another pair of glasses and come looking for us. We found the glasses intact on the black floor of the car and not on the road somewhere. Ahhh, such is life with two young dogs. Am I going to survive for another year or two?

So I am limping around this morning. Tylenols and Precise Pain rub from Tylenol has me feeling better this morning but it is going to be a few days recovery.

Sawdust Man That video of the metal bowl is incredible. I have heard of frying eggs on the sidewalk in hot areas but not that. Something you won't see in our area. Todays high temps might hit 72F if the cold west wind doesn't happen.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY, 76⁰/95⁰ clear. A warm morning already, another night down of cooking dirt. I hope to visit the woodyard this morning, I'll be working solo, as Miz Carol has to take grandson to Dr appointment in the big city, Augusta, about 65-70 miles away. Need to process some more oak. I'll have the biggoing, then once more night to work.
