As many people here know I have a running feud with my neighbor. It's been pretty quiet the last 2 or 3 years but today.
The neighbor and his family were in there swimming pool. I wanted to move dirt around my yard. I went over to there house and said that I was going to move dirt around today but didn't want to interrupt there pool party. I asked if they would let me know when they were done swimming so I could start.
His wife and daughter jumped up and lost their minds yelling at me because I don't control when they can use there pool.
It pizzed me off. So I immediately went home and started moving dirt. Dumping it out of the bucket from the highest height to make more dust. I am currently taking a break watching them give me dirty looks thru the windows.
Apparently there is to much dirt and dust in the air to swim.
    :D:rofl:

I thought I was doing the right thing by asking but now I'm not sure.
damm I love a good feud it's on again.

First I've heard of this fued!

You did the right thing by being neighborly, polite and respectful. They were the azzholes in my book with no reason to behave that way. I would've done the same thing after.

Rather than lighting fireworks later move some more dirt or wait until the wind is blowing their way!

So are you a Hatfield of McCoy?:D

Why I LOVE our location. In the woods with no neighbors in sight. Just the lady in the attached efficiency who is quiet and home half the time.

Well Redneck, of course you are a jerk. But that is beside the point.

It is amazing that sometimes we try to be kind but then others get all jacked out of shape. I have had that happen and could never figure it out. I just leave them in their own little world but will be dammed if I'll be kind to them in the future.

Nice that you offered an olive branch of sorts by asking them first.

But WTH is it with those two women laying into you? :picard:

Sounds like it'll be difficult but still treat them the way you would like to be treated (golden rule thing).......from a distance. :D

I would have done the samething!

I always remember what an old boss said to me when I was in my 20a. I was telling a story how I got into an argument with a known older lady in the community. She was a little off so to speak. Anyway, he said it's called compassion. I said you missed the beginning of the story. I was being polite and patient, then she started $hit. He looked at me, made a fist and flexed his arm and said, "well then you hammer them baby!!" Right or wrong I have lived by that for 30 years.

Raining today not much going on. But I decided yesterday that their pool will be useless to them any day I'm home. Between the chainsaws, chainsaw mill, lawnmower, rototillers and tractor I can come up with enough annoying noises to make them stay in side.

I used to have some drunks living next to me at the old cottage (small) that didn't care how much noise they made or how late they made it. at any given weekend

They liked to entertain and had multiple many people (more drunks) sleep over any given weekend. They were older than us but partied like a frat house! :headbang:

After speaking with 2 enforcement agencies and learning about noise ordinances, I was told that I could begin cutting firewood, running my splitter, mowing the lawn at 7:00 each morning. :smoke:

That made a lot of their guests happy! :salute:
