Got a question for anyone familiar with this saw. Here's a pic of my filter mount. Is there only supposed to be two studs out of the three slots available being used? Never noticed this from day one and I'm thinking that's how it's supposed to be. Saw runs fine btw, no problems and there is no play between carb and mount.
I can check mine in a little bit.. Unless someone who has been inside a bunch of them recognizes it? Mastermind may know
lol, ya it's funny cause this saw was worked on by Randy right from his dealer so I'm thinking it's all good. But ya never know. Looks like you could put a stud in that place, threads are there and everything...
I thought maybe the 3rd hole was used for the 362 (they use the same filter), but it's not. The set up is completely different. My 261 doesn't have anything there. So I believe you are good to go.. Pics.. (Looks like something shiny in the hole, but it's the flash reflection)
Ok, yep, that top pic is a 261 and looks like thats how it's gotta be. I can see the bigger elastostart handle in the bottom right so I know that's a 362, 261 on the left.
Nothing like armchair chainsaw engineers getting concerned over nothing I really would use that last opening if I knew any better
