Thanks, I hope so. I'm excited to start on it, I'm just to busy till fall. If I start taking it apart now I would probably misplace parts and forget how something went back together.

Our first foster fail! She stole her momma's heart on day one! Her name is Lily, She is very petite at about 7 pounds. But tough and has the boy kitties on their toes. We've had here about 3 weeks now, But Cindy signed the adoption papers this morning.

We have 2 dogs and now 3 cats. My best buddy was a stray I took in. I lost him to cancer almost 2 years ago, he was only 14.

3 years ago only 6 months apart took in 2 more stray cats. I always said no more. When we moved a little over a year ago I made a joke that we would never have another stray cat. We are miles from a town and there's not many people within 4 plus miles. Almost all the people around are seasonal (summer only).

What do ya know, late fall a dang young cat shows up, skinny and freezing. She isn't very big and the newest member of our family.

I put little G to work. My contractor is, let's say not the greatest. I started digging out to run the water line into the house. I'll finish it up in the next few days.

I love to hear about foster fails!

Unfortunately, out of town tends to be where people dump their cats. I'll be generous and say people figure that there are plenty of mice, and rabbits to catch and that the cat will be able to make a decent living. Unfortunately, most house cats do not learn to catch their dinners.

I've kept a feral cat many years ago and he moved with me to my current house. Lila is a former street cat that I took in to "foster" almost two years ago. She was a wild child, nervous of everything and scared to death of people. I'm unsure how she actually made it to ~1.5 years as skittish as she was. I took her in straight from being trapped knowing that it wasn't so much a "foster" as it was hoping I could not only help her, but that she and my other 2 would get along.
