I’m receiving errors with photos too. I used to be able to e-mail myself photos from iOS and send them over in the large file format. Those now don’t upload; had to change it to medium.

I'll try the forum in the mornings and if it is acting up, I no longer attempt to log in.

A few hours after I posted how fast the forum was it went to s#!+. I'm not complaining, I'm rather thankful for members contributions including those keeping things running, so I just let it load...and if it doesn't make it then in a few minutes or a few hours I'll try again and eventually it works.

If I can’t simply screen shot a pic and crop out the top and bottom, then post.. guess I won’t be sharing them anymore. :(
Tried again with a garden pic:

Nope. I’ve been posting with this one for a while now.
When I got this one, I couldn’t upload pics, had to screen shot. Now I can’t even do that.

I simply resize pictures to 80%. They upload/post fine.

Is "resize" the same as crop?

    Crop pulls in the edges.

On my phone, I edit the picture. There's 3 vertical dots in the j 3 top right corner, in there is "resize". I pick 80%, save, then upload.

I do not know the technical magic behind resize, nut it works.

Usually no, while a resize can and does change dimensions, a resize also removes pixel data. If you take a resized pic and blow it back up to the original size it will now be blurry or blurrier. But the pixel sizes are the same as they were originally.
A crop usually just removes part of a photo, like taking a pair of scissors and cutting off parts of a physical photo. While a cropped pic can be blown up and be blurry it is because the pixel sizes are now larger not because any of them are missing or modified.
Both methods yield smaller file sizes but the cropped pic will be missing parts of the original photo completely. No big deal if the cut/cropped part of the pic is just blue sky.

Think of a resize as putting a cotton blouse through a hot water wash and then the dryer and damm, it doesn't fit any more cuz it shrunk. But it still looks the same.
Think of a crop as taking the same blouse and cutting the sleeves off. It still fits but now it is a summer blouse. It no longer looks the same.

How do people do that? No, not shrinking shirts as I am a master at that already, but what function on a phone of computer "resizes" pictures?
