Had a branch come back and hit me in the leg. I'm fine, because the case took the brunt of it. The case cracked next to the bar and now has a bar oil leak. Anybody got a good fix for this?
Bummer to have a repair like that, but it is probably better than a good crack on the leg! I had a branch get me hard on my shin and I think it bruised the bone. It took months for it to heal and swelling and “color” to go away.
It can be welded, SCarr has fixed more cases that should have been thrown in a dumpster than Carter has liver pills… JB weld or the 2 part should be fine, but it must be clean, clean…
If you have access to a welder who is good, go that route. Otherwise clean the heck out of it and use jb weld. Work the jb into the surface with a toothpick. It makes it stick better. And sand it to bare metal first. It’ll hold. That saw probably saved you a broke leg!
