Peonies are doing great in the roadside garden. The first 2 pictures are of the front of the flower bed where the lighter pink peonies are. Then the next 2 are of a darker pink cultivar. The big rhodies out front are doing well too Ninebark False indigo. Was trying to get a picture with bees, but I don't see them
Agree 100% - one of a few threads I always stop by because it’s full of outstanding natural beauty and positivity!!! Hope your native wild patch puts up some color and variety, Eric Wanderweg !
My hydrangea isn't nearly that far along. but again, it doesn't bloom every year since I don't water it. Still in drought since last year, so doubt it will do anything this year, but that remains to be seen. Noticed yesterday my winterberry shrubs are blooming. I also noticed they are trying to take over that corner of their wor;d and I'll need to cut them back.
Also being on well water, I don't water much in the yard. Especially with an ongoing drought. We're 9inches below average for '26. We were below a few inches for '25.
