He messaged early this morning, none of his Zillow applications have been opened/looked at. We'll have to figure it out when he gets home tonight, I'm thinking there's something funny in his Zillow account set up.
New house leased! He'll take some hunting mounts and fragile things in my pick up. Fly back sometime in July for kiddo, me and pets, then drive all of us Yukon back out there.
He's leaving late next week. We picked my pickup up from getting serviced for the trek and I drove it home. I'm disbelief all of this is really happening. Kiddo and I were trudging through 1-2' of snow not too long ago chasing a wayward hen that miraculously didn't freeze or get frostbit overnight and my legs turned into limp noodles. I feel like that now, in cement. Kiddo and I have a month left to keep going through stuff, tossing or packing.
Tell her it’s simple your leaving on a great adventure make it fun.. you got to help her teenagers are so bloody emotional anyway
Good luck with everything, just skimming through. What State are you moving to? If you get tight with time you could rent a local storage, if no relatives with room, not that you want to pay storage very long. I’d be moving higher valuables myself, guns & such. I’m a little picky about moving anywhere, taxes, cost of living, crime, regulation type issues. Likely hard to get more freedom than WY, taxes should be low too. If one is still working, the best job is a biggie. I’ve been here since 1996, not thinking about moving, more working years. I know it wouldn’t be easy, to move.
We are moving to SC, for......... his job, you nailed it. So many advantages to living here as well as schools are top 5 in entire USA, but, it's time to go. Similar to your timeline, we brought all our possessions from our long time home we bought 1993, up her about 15 years ago. Definitely starting with the valuable, except he's going to sell a couple hunting rifles he doesn't use now. He mentioned not bringing the big game mounts since we can't mount them in a rental, but I said no. They're coming. He's been a hunting fool his entire life and it's too hard for him to big game hunt anymore now. They aren't valuable $ wise but they're coming.
Thankfully she's the same little trooper as she's been before on other things. I didn't get a chance to answer theburtman . So far she's run the gamut of emotions and no doubt will again. She's cried, shouted and stormed off, but miraculously most of the time she's ready for a change and excited.
We are praying for a smooth transition for ya'll, a good steady job for WWW, and a safe trip down south. It will take time to adjust to the weather, but hopefully a good ocean breeze will help. Myrtle Beach is booming with growth. Can't wait to meet ya'll later.
