Since last week sometime (?) I'll try the site and if it takes awhile for it to load, I won't even bother to try logging in. Right now is good. Obviously, there is a huge problem. But, if it's not working correctly at the moment, I'll spend my time differently.....maybe even constructively!
I really don't think the error codes mean much, at least not explicitly. I'm gonna guess Scotty is working with <somebody> for the issue and has the patience of a Saint. I had to learn some code in '84 because the controller in some equipment a coworker and I were putting together with an outside fabricator required it. I found putting the line by line instructions together both fascinating, quite easy. It just made perfect logical sense. Kinda like Java but much simpler. There was no one else there that understood it and I really don't think there was anyone there with the patience to sit on the floor with a keyboard and re-enter the three hundred or so lines I had written down in a notebook without missing a space or character. I left in '88 and the place started just buying crap from China and reselling rather than making their own in the erly 90ies sometime. Kinda wish I had gone back to school for it, but I went with CAD instead, for a rather brief period. I really didn't think there were an angry posts, but maybe read it/them wrong.
Same here. My undies aren't getting wadded up over this. It will will either get fixed or not. Either way, I have the contact information for anyone I want / need to get hold of that's on this site.
As frustrating as it's been, there's nothing I can do on the technical end to help, as willing as I am to. Half of my job is programming and I can read G & M code/macros like I'm reading the Latin alphabet (or Cyrillic ) but CNC code versus whatever keeps this forum running in the background are completely different animals.
Just experienced a slow down/stoppage with the site. Still proceeding with caution and a light touch..........
Same here. Was just on another site and seen this... "Total: 12,060 (members: 8, guests: 12,052)" That's alotta bots!
Just read this on news. "...bots have now passed human traffic online for the first time in the Internet’s history." No wonder some sites are having problems. Could be the beginning of the end for Internet as we now know it?
