We put “new” tires on the splitter today. They were free in front of someone’s garage. Sort of sporty looking, so I decided the splitter needed something to even things out. It has been bare metal for at least 15 years, so it only seemed fitting to at least give it a coat of primer. One thing turned into another and before I knew it I was using up old partial cans of spray paint. The rims were supposed to be black, but the can of “primer” I grabbed turned out to be silver paint, so I just left em. The front half will get painted after we make the new table and chute for splits. It’s the fastest and cheapest paint job in history. I used a piece of cardboard to “minimize” overspray.
