That just doesn't look right at this time of year! Geeze, this is the time of year we used to first set them out! Tomatoes by late July and August.

We reached 80 yesterday. It was cool until mid-afternoon. But then a strange thing happened. There is a NOAA station south of us and another north of us. They are about 28 miles apart as the crow flies so one would not expect much difference in weather. Yet there usually is and sometimes it gets weird, like yesterday late afternoon when one station reported 84 while the other was 55. Still this morning they report 70 and 51.

Today is supposed to be another hot day but some storms are forecast.

I actually put them out the third week of April. I started them too early this year and got tired of hauling them all in at night. We had a few nights in the low 40s after that but no damage. Next year I'll be delaying things about 2 more weeks.

Well, you will be enjoying the fruit soon! No, 40 degrees won't harm them but low 30's are another story.

Blazing hot yesterday. My car said 98 when I left work at 5. Supposed to be hotter today. Just went outside to do some light yard work and only lasted about an hour.

You can have all those 90 degree days! But I see you will also be cooling for a while.

After record breaking heat for 3 days in the 90's, got rain and low 50's yesterday, had a fire in the insert last evening. Pallet mill oak boards.
Cool damp weather for the holiday weekend coming up too.
