Met with a firewood processor tonight, I now have access to 140+ acres within about 4 miles . Of course, it's all mountain side, prob. 20-30 degree slope but I only have to drag downhill. And as we're chatting, he tells me he needs an area to store and process. Hmmmm....
How much area? I have close to 1/2 acre up front he could use. We discuss what he needs, a place to store logs and use his processor maybe 1 day a week. He claims it's as quiet as a lawnmower but we'll see. Anywhoo's-
If it works out, I get as much processed firewood as I need in exchange for use of the front yard for a few months. He already knows how much I want stacked and didn't blink an eye.

I'm right there with ya, hoping things work out for the best.

 

Just talked to my neighbor and he's open to the idea also. That will help sweeten the pot.

 

And he stack's too? That would be the perfect trifecta.

I don't care if he stacks or not, doesn't matter, the wife would not approve unless she did it herself anyways. My little "cross-stack queen". ( I'm actually serious about that)
