Had some ash down in a field the farmer is wanting to plow. Took what had some solid meat to it yet.

The only logs that I picked up this am was the dog poop in the yard after being gone a week on vacation.

You did better than I did today!

    Nice little haul.

Do you have many farmers calling you?

I have 2 big farmers but cut mostly on the one. They own a lot of ground plus lease a ton as well. They are actually related to each other.

I took the wheelbarrow with me as I was going to cut a little more silver maple but the ground was a little too soft for my liking

I'm gonna go out back in a few and process the red oak widomaker we removed two weeks ago. It was a sketchy removal loaded with a ton of stored energy (literally), got it down and cleaned up safely, time to go buck and split it now.

We too are still burning SS fires, and looking at the long-term forecast it may very well last for the rest of the month!!

My neighbor had 3 medium size trees over, then hung up in other trees. I cut what I could but it wouldn’t roll off & fall. I had to hook up a long strap with my ATV & was able to pull them down. The one actually brought one of the others down. Once things start getting hairy I pull most hung up trees. If the ATV isn’t enough I use my truck.
