    Heat is definitely the enemy of batteries...bad things start to happen when lithium batteries get over ~120*F...but it's not good for lead acid batteries either.

    So electric cars probably don’t fair to well in Arizona and the rest of the desert southwest??

    Never thought about it BUT that makes sense..
    Understand I know very little so I find people in different areas of expertise and ask questions. I call it the Henry Ford theory, he quoted it.

    My now deceased battery guy always said “batteries get sick in the heat and wait until the cold to die”

    This reflects my experience, and as Kubota wears 76” blower and chains in winter, I will fix before then

    I would say they don't...I think I have heard that some of them will self "detune" if the batts get too hot...possibly even shut down?

    Shhh I installed water and put sewer too the garage in one of my “improvements” projects
    I may be a redneck BUT I worked really hard to be spoiled.
    Was in construction and real estate too long .. rule 1 before concrete underground utilities just in case..

    Yes sir, you got the life out of that battery. I think the OEM battery our L3130 lasted 7-8 years. I can't remember if we got the next battery from dealer or auto place.
    I like Interstate batteries, if I can find them. None are as good as they used to be.
