    Same thing from me.

I feel like I might be coming down with something. So, out of the freezer with leftover turkey soup for later.

I have some turkey meat to add along with additional veggies and seasoning.

Baked beans did their thing for about 7 hours yesterday while I did my best impersonation of a lazy slug and just coasted doing a lot of reading and looking out the window. Just beans and slab of warm buttered sourdough for dinner.

Finally, someone else who makes beans from scratch. So much of what I see starts by opening a can.
Nothing like the real thing and a long slow cook. This simple dish is a real favorite of mine. Nice Job!

Funny all your likes are from us in the Northeast. That says something about us New Englanders. LOL

If I only had a quarter for every time we had this growing up in NH...baked beans, dogs, and brown bread.

Yessah! Bread in a can! With raisins, my preference.

I heard of and wondered off and on over the years, what is brown bread?

Got a can of original and raisin on their way. Hopefully it’s as good as I keep hearing.

Here’s today’s chicken soup from yesterday’s bbq leg quarters.

Didn’t get pictures before I took the pots off the wood and into the kitchen. A bucket each of beans and rice today, plenty to supplement well into the week ahead.

Our rain’s back and this seemed fitting today. Feels colder at 40 than it did at 12 with the moisture back in the air again.

My Granma would say "that is the kind of food that sticks to your ribs". Good stuff! And you are right about how damp cold feels!

I consider it cooking. Putting a crispy bottom on the bottom crust of a local pizzeria pizza, sausage and mushroom.
