Our season started February 27th and lasted a month! Longest it’s been here in many years. I had 46 maple taps and produced a little over 12 gallons of syrup. The only syrup I produced that would have graded as golden delicate was maybe my first gallon. The rest has been something between amber rich to dark robust.

 

Yep, I'm making lemon pies & macaroni salad. You can post what you're bringing so others have an idea of what to bring.

 

Any use for the UTV if I bring it??

I will bring some food and raffle table items also...Blue Smoothies of course

 

Robin and I will bring a large coffee cake , two skillet pies and an assortment of cheese

 

I think the UTV would be handy at the center for sure.

Warm weather is in the forecast, but not as hot as last year!

 

We should be leaving in a bit, bringing 4 jugs of bar oil and a bottle of maple syrup we got at Paul Bunyan Show...

Good deal my friend. Hey if you have any more fatwood I’d gladly barter a quart for a couple chunks.

 

Hopefully he has what you need, but if not we can go fatwood shopping in the Huron Manistee some time. Plenty of New Deal era stumps full of the good stuff up there.

 

I’ll bring a dessert and maybe some beans or ABTs for a smoker. I’m still deciding on raffle stuff but I’ll figure something out to toss in the prize pool. Maybe some home made bacon I smoked last weekend.

 

You know I’m always down to tromp around the Natty Forest.

 

Hmm. Never heard of that brand of bar oil!
