Temp fell all day yesterday. Forecast frost or freeze but I don't think that will happen until tonight (Sunday) when low 20's are forecast. We should be warming back up in a couple days.

30 out, 61 in. Oak heating up the house. Pork butt on the Weber with charcoal and oak. I split all the logs I had yesterday (cheated and used the splitter) so today might stack it all. I sure like nice straight grained wood more than this twisted yard tree but it all burns!

I had a fire Friday evening, Saturday morning, let it go out, then relit Saturday evening and burning again now. It was 80, or close to it, last Saturday and snowed a bit last night. Silly weather.

50 and dropping with on again, off again rain. I might have a fire tomorrow morning (low-mid 30s then) but for now the top dollar heating oil can keep the house comfortable.

Temps were down to around 30 this morning. We even had some snow flakes flying.

It's a chilly, raw 48° going down to 34 tonight, 27 tomorrow. This will probably be our last 24+ hour burn, black birch & walnut.

30/65, oak. Found some rain soaked oak to burn. Oops. Good thing it’s almost chimney cleaning season! Hauled a load of oak logs to help a friend yesterday and he gave me another load for myself. BIG oak. He offered to give me another load of the big stuff today just to move it. It takes a lot of muscle and horsepower to handle big logs but you get a lot of splits as well.

Yes it’s still snowing on Monday, woodstove is turning maple into ash and even my beautiful bride decided it was cold enough to shut the last window…

36/67 Started first fire I've had in a week yesterday afternoon, will keep it going all day today as high only in 40's. Burning oak boards and blocks from pallet mill.

32 outside 62 inside. Wood boiler is shut down for the season so I turned the gas heater on to give it a little work.
