Lowe's $9.00/bag douglas fir pellets

    Folks,

    My local Lowe's has stacks of pellets that they want $9.00 per bag for. I didn't catch the brand, however, it specifically said "Douglas Fir". Highest price I've ever seen.

    I’ve burned Doug Fir pellets in the past. They are really good. They put out a lot of heat and last a long time. But 9.00 a bag is excessive. I’ll burn my pressed pine pellets at half the cost - and the same heat.

    That’s a pretty high price! And late in the season. You would think they would be trying to clear out inventory at this point. Given how retail operates, they’re going to be putting 4th of July stuff out soon…if it’s not out already!

    home depot here in eastern pa puts the pellets away mid february and roll out the grills and mowers..
