Just getting into 3d printing. Learning CAD in my newly found time has been challenging but yet fun !
I’m sure others are printing. Any tips or tricks for a rookie to help this limited computer experience old fart learn ?

Another addictive but also useful hobby for sure. There are a ton of free files out there and some that are pretty decent. A co worker just did a mingo marker and it works great , not a bad deal for free.

We have multiple printers at my work , filament and resin style.
So of course I had to have one at home , and like everything else I now have two home.

I do a bunch of CAD stuff myself so the two go hand in hand.
Fun to design something and see a finished product.

Also have done a few Hotwheel"s Car diorama's that have fun. Old guy still likes toy cars. LOL

My best piece of advice is to download a STL file from a premade model to test your printer. I've burned a lot of time chasing printer issues when the problem was a model I created just didn't want to print right...and I had to make some changes in the slicer. The printer was totally fine.

Also keep in mind your unit of measure....some models are in metric and some aren't. You many need to upsize by 25.4 to get it to print in freedom units.

I'm not into it, but happened upon the link whilst researching something. TONS of stuff on there (lots of *legitimate gun parts too).
