As I remember it the 361 was highly sought after for porting. Something about the engine design allowed more gains than most others. Or I may be wrong,,,that happens too LOL
Then again sell it and have your fancier 400 ported instead. These are questions for an engine porter tho. Would make an interesting conversation,,,,
It may be that the 400 hitting the market made porting a 361 a moot point?

Anyway Happy Birthday and congrats on the new toy.

I'd just soak that chain in your favorite penetrating oil overnight then put it on the saw and put it in some wood....that will take the rust right off it. As long as the links move freely that's all that matters.

it could've been. I've heard conflicting stories regarding the 361. Apparently the 400 takes to porting very well. I know Chud & T.Jeff Veal love their ported 400's

And I'll be 58 on the 18th...that's if I make it. :BrianK:

You are correct. I was watching another video and didn't realize he was talking of a hypothetical MS300i fuel injected saw to replace the 261. I did see another video from Germany about the MS300c and not the battery version either.

I took your advise :D Picked up a 400c w/a 25" bar to go along with the 261 and an 18"

    Oh yeah! :saw: :dex:

New? Used? Its a great saw. Your 361 will become a shelf queen. Ask me how I know.

Now the question is who gets the 400.1 first?

Nice looking shed btw. Love the rough sawn lumber.

Brand new, and was surprised at the new black bars. Looks pretty cool though, we'll see how it holds up. She rips though. I have a few 25" + in that pile of logs, but of course they're on the bottom, so it will be a bit before I get to bury it.

Don't get me started on the rough cut train. It's nearly all I buy. I put up this garage over the past 3 years.
