Your version of beer can chicken is something I will have to try. Does it matter what flavor of beer I drink while I watch the chicken cook?

Just ripped out the old burners, put piece of 1/4" stainless plate in the bottom "don't have to be stainless, it's what I had", drill a couple of 1/2 holes in the top lid sides and that's it. Oh, I put a new temp gauge on the lid in the front. That's it. I use a small amount of Charcole just to get it started then throw the wood of your choice on the coals and go…. get a Beer and enjoy.
