Lit the shop stove on split ash this morning. Upper 30s out, grey and raining. Forecast looks cool so I got about 1/2 a cord of wood in the shop yesterday.
It did not warm up during the day yesterday but about sunset the temp started raising. It brought some storms but wasn't bad here. They hit I think between 9:00-10:00. There were some bad ones in SW MI. Still warm this morning as it is up to 60. Supposed to be dropping through the day.
26 Didn't get much from the "storm" but used the shovels twice anyway. Gonna have to repeat shovel usage this morning to reveal how much ice is underneath. Power is still on, so far! And it never got windy like they had predicted-thankfully!
Let the fire go out overnight. Shoveled the ash out and lit again with oak. Hopefully when this tote of wood runs out we are warming up and don’t need to burn more.
Rain, rain and more rain. Flooding has started. Lots of water in fields. On the other hand, the rain certainly caused grass and wheat to green up.
The overnights are still in the mid to upper 20's here. Another coating of ice/sleet/snow mix out there.
25 and snowing (again) at the moment. It's getting windy! I'll have to shovel before church this Easter morning.
(looks up fahrenheit to celsius) 25/77 - unusually warm for this time in Spain, this second half of easter, but I won't complain.
36f/70f Just put a small load of Oak and Ash on a small pile of coals. With a projected high of 43f today we should be well covered. Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Still stuffed from yesterday's family gathering!
35 and climbing towards 50 later this afternoon. Burning a mix of thin ash, beech and sassafras scraps.
43/66. No fire. Mowed the yard for the first time yesterday as it was getting very tall in spots. Supposed to be clear and dry all week through next weekend.
