I'm down to under 2 tons at 85 bags and still burning. Haven't been that low for at least 5 years. When I buy, I'm gonna need 4-5 tons. I want to get some work doe in the basement before filling that area back up so I gotta get cracking on getting that arranged. But, as usual, when I go to buy construction materials, the prices start skyrocketing :headbang:.

    Hope everyone is doing well.
    Been busy here....
Still running 2 stoves off and on.
Had a day that we had everything off all night....Then back to at least one stove on.

    6 tons put away today.
Had to kick into high gear on the last one as the precip was coming.
Made a platform so i no longer have to squat azz to grass, push each bag through the ground level hatch, and get back up 300 times.
    Then, of course, the stacking.
Just various sheets of wood, and they butt up against the foundation, and then the frame of the hatch.
Perfect transition to the two 2X12s that are my ramp.
Ratchet strapped those together for the first time this year.
Screw and washered the carpet to the platform, and another piece on the top portion of the ramp.
It was still a brutal day, but i got it all done in one day.
So i can recover now, and bench tomorrow.
    Probably late tomorrow...

Just shy of 10 tons on hand at this point.

Actually a few bags over 10 ton.

I need to remember to do a full count when next season starts.
This was likely the heaviest use season yet. (and it's not over.)
Bought 7 ton last year to "beat the tariffs", which did not materialize.
10 ton is the limit of what fits in the bunker.

Be nice to buy (and have to stow) a ton or two fewer next time.

Ooh, thought i had erased this from my phone -

That definitely looks like an improvement on the previous system.

I remember one year in the mid 1980's we had 10 inches of snow on my ex's birthday, April 17th. Was all melted in a couple days.

That must be the year the Ex and I moved to NH - 1987. We had to return the Uhaul to Middlesex, MA the day after the storm that dumped 18" in the Monadnock region. Back then, there were no Uhaul places closer that would accept returns from outside states (we moved from KS).
