Still looking but throwing it out here for a place to look. My Iron & Oak splitter had this part break today. It’s on the hydraulic control valve, handle pivots on the lower pin. So far I just see where to buy the whole control valve setup, still looking.

The module is made by ‘Brand Hydraulics’, Omaha I think. I’d just rather put a replacement back in. The one picture is a similar part in place on a valve, bottom of handle is attached.

I have numbers to Brand and Iron & Oak, calling both at 08:30. I’ll give them a few minutes to have a coffee first.

Crisis averted, I talked to Brand, traced the part number. After that I went to their supplier, bought 2. Should be good.

It was an internal part #, none easily visible on fleabay & other sites.

Glad you found the part! I'm a little puzzled - I don't see anything broken on the part in the photo? Or did the handle itself break?

In the 2nd picture above you can see a crack. The part is in 2 pieces, set atop each other for the picture.
I got the 2 new parts today, 2 of the same. I put one on, works great. There are slight differences, I need screws 1/4” or so longer, thicker frame. I also need 2 pins, screws currently in position.

I’ll get the little pieces at the hardware store. Just glad to have the splitter back in operation.

I can see it on my computer screen now that I can enlarge it. Couldn’t see it on my phone at all. I wonder if the new part is thicker for this reason? At least it would seem they’re trying to correct the issue instead of just ignoring it.

Thanks, glad it worked out for you!

The part guy did say the new one is made better, seems to be a little bit. I never did even ask the wood splitter maker about the part. It’s rather specific, Brand Hydralics put me on the right track.

With the thicker frame, the screws holding it in only bite with 2-3 threads. That’s ok for testing, but I’ll get 1/4+ longer to hold better.
