20260325_154553.jpg Well I signed up for Chip Drop, got contacted and they asked if I wanted firewood in addition to chips. I said sure.....came home to about 20 yards of chips and a lot of big oak rounds.

Not bad at all delivered right to your driveway. It might be a little messy but there's definitely some good wood to be salvaged there. I've certainly brought home a lot worse!

Hopefully there’s not too much decay. Rounds look like they were cut long ago.

Theres wood to be had if you're willing to work it.
Wonder how long it had been sitting?

it has been cut and sitting for a while, outer edges are punky but majority of the wood seems solid. Gonna do some noodling tomorrow after work and find out for certain

With how cracked this round is, I'd bet if you swung a splitting maul or fiskars it wouldn't take but one or two swings to bust them in half. If you can hit the crack.....

Edit: I got the picture. :headbang:

Yes, I bet those rounds will split easily with a few whacks from a maul
