Snow on Sunday, Mon, Tue, Wed and Thu. If it's not snowing, it'll be a mix but at any rate, it'll be heavily overcast. Any sunshine will be short lived.

There'll still be melting as the highs will be above freezing and the snow amounts will only need attention from shovels-not plows!

The definition of shoulder season is upon us.
    Snow is gone.
Had to dodge frost boils in the gravel road last night. On the way home from getting an ice cream treat:thumbs:
    Still burning. Small loads.
Nice time of the year imo. Enjoy!

34/72. Started a fire last night, full load of oak and one split of locust. Put one split on for this morning as the wife is watching our grandson today. Supposed to hit 50.

It's 30 out. I turned the heating system off last week and we made it through the cooler nights, but it caught up to us today. House was just a bit too cold so I turned it back on. The boiler has some work to do to get everything back up to temp.

Ash in the quadrafire this am again. I won't rechooch at lunch when I go home to make lunch for the wife. It gets too warm in the house.

It was about 30 something this am outside and 68° inside after ash was loaded in the stove last night.

I have about a face cord left in the shed. I hope it gets me through the rest of this season. Don't really want to break into another stack.

It was in the 30's this am. 68° in the house at 6am. Reloaded with 2 pieces of ash on top of ash coals from last night.

It's supposed to get to like 64° today. I surely won't rechooch at lunch.

Friday looks like the coldest weather this week.

Yeah, it's full on shoulder season here. Screenshot_20260325-092419.png

I'll see if I can get my wife outside on Sunday. She could use some nice outside time seeing that her normal walking routine is out of the question. I will probably need to carry/ lift her with her broken ankle and the steps to get outside. She's got a non weight bearing cast until April 16th. She's light, so that shouldn't be a problem.

    34 and still falling.

It was so warm I did not have a fire last night. Chilly in here this morning. Crazy up and down weather we are having. It is normal to have the ups and downs but the highs are way up and the lows are ridiculous.

45° this am. It was like 51° when we went to bed. No fire last night.

I'll start a fire up at lunchtime though when I go home to let the dogs out and make lunch for my wife and make some food for myself. It's supposed to rain today, and Tomorrow is supposed to be fairly cold, the coldest in a while. High of 38 low of about 30 and rain.

That will be a nice time for a fire again. After tonight and tomorrow through, there with be indoor fires for a couple of days.

    29 now.

    Lots of fog/mist this morning.

Falling temps throughout the day will eventually result in a dusting of 2-3 inches of snow.

    Shovels are on alert!

76 and sunny at the moment. Going to be high in the low to mid 40's Saturday. I keep the fire going in the wood boiler because it's just easier.
