Hey buZZsaw BRAD remember when I said that I was taking down half of my woodshed to relocate it? Mother Nature gave me a head start on that process last night. All it took was one all day heavy rain event followed by a night of heavy gusts. Huge dead sugar maple stem. The other stem of the tree also let go, but got hung up in a neighboring red oak. Too bad this has been dead for many years and the wood is rotten. I’ll have to get some of this cleaned up later once the neighbors are awake.

OH NO! :bug: Wind was loud here too! Homeowners claim maybe?

Was any firewood injured from this incident?:D

Question I have is how you let that spar get that punky and never took it for wood?

I managed to get the dead tree sectioned and moved. I started cleaning the debris but I’ll have to get back at it tomorrow when I can bring the mess to the dump. You can see the sections of rotted trunk in the background.

That stinks, I hope it hit the part.of the shed your were wanting to take down.
And I wish you could have used the wood from the tree.
