Thanks for asking,:handshake: colorful and sore but I'll live! It jarred everything from my wrist to my shoulder. I'm just happy I didn't break it, that would have really sucked! fortunately that didn't happen. o_O. Yeah, got another nice batch of Mulberry with about 20% Cedar mixed in there. My assumption is they took 2 trees down at the same place. I'm not sure just what to do with all this Cedar, I know it burns up fast. I may seperate it and send it to the curb with a (FREE) sign on it.

Its beautiful wood almost a shame they bucked it up. Its great kindling but throws alot of sparks. Thats all I've ever used it for.

The cedar dries fast. It will be ready for the Fall if you CS it now. Why not burn it?

I'm still on the fence about it. I know it's a low BTU soft wood, My Grandma will just chew it up. I really don't know if I want to deal with the sticky sap of it.

Sap not too bad when fresh cut. Just a little ooze at the cambium layer based on my experience. Nowhere near the amount of Eastern white pine.

Split that cedar down into kindling. It's probably the best you can get for that.

I normally don't touch softwoods either, but I will this year. Need fast drying woods to mix in with bundle wood.
I had a few bundles of cedar hanging around for too long. I ended up adding a split to each bundle.

I'll dilute bundles with a piece or two of pine or cedar when the warm weather starts. I have access to an easy score of both close by, ill cut very soon.

I have a 4 way splitting wedge, I may just do that! I hate to ever waist "any" wood. My Buddy, where I get this stuff from is a real trooper and gives everything away he can to folks who want/need it. He'd rather do that than dump it.
