30/65. Oak and another tax return. Hope it’s less windy today. Splitting sounds like a nice way to kill a few hours. All of our totes are full and we are back to stacking/stockpiling. I need to find a source for free logs to haul home this spring!

    26. Wind has slowed. Forecasters still trying to build the next storm up except in our area where we aren't expecting much snow and rain but now they are saying possible heavy thunder storms possible Monday night. The forecast will no doubt change at least 4 more times...

    7 this morning.

I wish the colder temps would stay for the 2 day blizzard we're getting tomorrow morning. It's a lot easier to move "colder snow" than the heavy wet stuff we'll be getting.

19/66 boxelder and maple. Just relit a fire in the insert. Plan to keep it burning all weekend now. It was as warm as 60 here a week or so ago. Now we are going to get a bunch of snow tonight and tomorrow. At least 12 inches they are guessing.

49/75 Will be letting the fire go out this morning. Winds finally died down. Will need to go check on all my rubber tarps, with gusts like that I'm sure some are flopped.

Ash and fir in the quadrafire.

    It started snowing.

Today I brought a bunch of wood in to the house. Impending storm arriving now.

I stacked the rest of the firewood in had to process into the left bay of the wood shed. I'm set for next winter now. I just need to keep on it and expect to get 4+ cords this spring to catch up to fill the center bay for 2027-28. There will probably be some leftover from this year.

I bought the snow blower up from the shed and it's in the garage ready to use.

We're supposed to get 4-9" of shot though Monday.

The northern 3/4 of the state is going to get hit hard. Screenshot_20260314-190241.png

Can't like that snow totals. We are at 37f (0.05" rain) and dropping. Should start changing to snow this afternoon and wrap up around 6:00 this evening. Talking totals from 1-3" so we will see. Work van tires are junk so hoping for the lesser amount. Forecasted low tonight is 9f.

Wind finally has died down. I haven't taken a walk yet to see if there's any damage. Clouds moving in, 50s today, front comes through tomorrow with t-storms, temps will drop.

Those with the blizzard, stay safe!

It has been blowing hard all night. Not a lot of snow so far but more is expected. We have even experienced thunder and lightning this morning. I got a call letting me know church has been cancelled due to weather. With all of the wind, it will be hard to get an exact measurement of the snow. We could get 6-12 inches by the time it is done.

34 heading to the mid 40s. Ash and black walnut in the stove which I’ll let go out without a reload. Looks like we won’t be burning again until mid week, and even then just small fires during the colder hours of the day.

No fire. Sitting close to 60, may hit 70. Front is going to move through, calling for t-storms and high winds, potential for tornados. Then temps will plummet into 20s overnight. 30s tomorrow. Fingers crossed no damage will happen.

19/69. 2 days ago it was 85. High today of 39. I know I don't compare to you all that the storms hit, but this is hard on the sinuses.

    Stay warm and safe hoarders.

    Feels like -7

Snowing and very windy (but not Wyoming type windy....)

The storm must have dumped at least a foot so far. Sigh.

    (edit)

    Radio says 18"-20" so far

Yesterday at this time it was in the 60's. Today it is 30, wind, snow squalls, and falling temps. Haven't ventured out to the boiler yet, but I suspect it's hungry.

I'll head out there soon and feed it and check and see if there's any more damage from the wind last night.

Sunny but single digits and windy outside. 25 in the shop; just lit up split ash with maple kindling. 40-50 mph wind yesterday has snow drifted up in all the wrong places.

48/69. Will light a fire before bed as temps are supposed to plummet below 30 by daybreak.
