I make fire starters out of saw dust, wax, and egg cartons. Wax is always my limiting factor. My parents go to a lot of estate sales and get candles for me when they find em. Today they dropped off a 2-candle mega score of wax. An oscillating tool turns them into chunks in no time.

I just gave away a bunch of old, small candles that I found in a box that hasn't been opened since I moved here in 2013. Those things were probably several years old (maybe even a decade) and the colors and scents had degraded. I assumed the person I gave them to would just melt them down and make new candles out of them. But, this may be their use instead.
