Done! We are beat! :pain: I had a minor mishap today. I had a big round roll off another and landed on my ankle, that wasn't the problem. when I tried to get out of the way, I got my foot wedged between another when it dropped and the round and I when down in the street HARD, landed on my right arm with all my fat a$$ weight. I herd a giant crunch and am now, purple, black blue from my elbow to my wrist, as well as missing skin. Just a flesh wound and no bones sticking out any place but dammm if it doesn't hurt all the way up through my shoulder into my back. o_O I'm glad we got it all done. Motrin and some Beer, we'll be good to go.. :drunk: Oh what fun we have.:p

Sorry to hear of your fall. Scary stuff with that mishap. Can happen very easily and quickly working firewood. I've had similar myself. Almost took a fall after stepping on a rotten apple at my cut today. Right near the end too. As bad as it was, I always say it could've been a lot worse. Take it slow and heal fast.

Enjoy the TLC Chrissy gives you while you can. :pain:

We filled 14 totes with the 2 batches of wood. The last tote here will be filled with what we have left out front. We are pushing 5 cord. Some final pics, can't squeeze anymore in them. :D
A Big Kudo's to Chrissy who hauled all this back herself and racked it all!:thumbs::yes::binoculars::tears: Not bad for some "Jersey" folk... :picard::whistle: ;) *Edit*. Forgot to mention, she filled a full tote of "uglies" also.

Great job hauling and stacking all that wood, Chrissy...:salute::tip::tip: while WeldrDave loitered around the splitter or played on the Garage Queen...:whistle:...
Is that pool noodles stuffed in the forks openings?

Hope you recover pretty quick, Dave.

I'll pass that to her! :handshake: Yeah, my arm is sore but I'll live. I haven't fell that hard in a long while. And, yes you are seeing "Pool Noodles". A quick back story; Playing ball with the pups, we would lose several tennis balls a year under the pallets, some retrievable but mostly not. The balls would disappear into the abyss! As we used the wood and lift the pallets we would find the Tennis balls, most of the time they were nasty and rotted. So this time, with this batch of wood, I was trying to figure out how to stop the loss of tennis balls. Chris and I were in this discount store and I saw the spring stuff coming out including the "Pool Noodles". The bell went off like thunder in my head! o_O:dex::banana:. Cut the noodles and jam them in there, they fit like a glove!
No more lost tennis balls, and I believe it slows the bunny colonization that seems to flurish around here...
