    I've been retired almost 11 years. I don't know how I mentally survived in some of my previous job situations. I know there is no way I would survive in the working world if I had to return.

    I was told I was out of a job at 59. I did contract work for a year, 2 6month engagements.

    Turns out it was kind of a blessing, as my elderly folks were needing increased medical attention/appointments. I had time available so I became their support person.

    One door closed. Another opened.

    I hope your retirement was your choice. If not, look around for that open door.

    Yes, my choice. I have a lot of physical issues. Just not able to put in a full day anymore.

    It looks like my heart is OK. There are minor irregularities caused by sleep apnea, high blood pressure, being overweight, and almost 72 years of wear and tear. Nothing needs to be fixed at this point , but we now have a benchmark to see if things get worse.

    While it's been nice to see a decent snowpack, it's nice to see it shrinking. More melting today 44⁰/55⁰ more clouds than sun. Rain tonight

    I'll be going for a morning walk.

    Good Morning… :coffee: … Yesterday was another 12 hr day… that wasn’t supposed to be but stuff just kept happening… storms rolled through last night…. Some of the surrounding areas in KC area had 2 to 2.5” diameter hail stone. Some serious size frozen balls falling out of the sky….

    There is supposed to be some insurance nurse coming today. Something the insurance requires, or so they say. I've had this for several years but so far they never showed up nor did they even call to let me know they weren't coming. I think it scares them because I live so far out in the country. Good.
