    Got the evening fire going, splitter scraps for kindling, cherry and a couple small pecan splits to get get it going. White oak chunks in the bucket to cook with.

    Icy start 31⁰/44⁰ sunny day should melt the ice on trees and underfoot.

    I'll be dealing with moving ice/slush as it loosens. We got an inch of snow before it changed to freezing rain overnight.

    Truckaa will be coming here for lunch of split pea soup and cornbread.

    Good morning… 54° here this morning in West Point. Much better than the 14° in Grayling at the moment. Had a great time with T.Jeff Veal and Miz Carol yesterday. Excellent job on dinner, but I seem to still be full this morning.

    A late good morning to FHC today. I fell back asleep for awhile and woke up to one of the dogs barking to come back inside.


    Coffee is made, fire is made. Let the melting resume! We did get some melting yesterday afternoon after the sun showed itself.

    Yes sir, it was great to catch up, lot of time since '19 at Dennis' GTG when we met. Enjoyed our day with ya'll as well. Glad we could help with the full feeling this morning. I know we were still full before dinner, that breakfast casserole Miz Ann made was :drool::drool::drool:
