Trip to the ridge to start working on a big Alder that had come down some time ago. I was expecting it to be somewhat punky but I was pleasantly surprised to find it in great shape.

First trip up I had taken an Echo 590 Timberwolf but found it had an extremely dull chain. Fortunately only a mile from the house so headed back and grabbed another Echo 590 and a Husqvarna 460.

I ended up doing the cutting with the 590.

Slow going with some rest breaks but it felt good to get in the woods again.

I will take a winch up and pull some more of it out for easy access.

Playing with a little drone is part of the fun.

Wow, you really got a burst of energy when you got to unloading  Admire your tenacity to keep after the firewooding, do you hand split the chunks when you’re back home too?
