$450 cash for the truck load. First time I've actually paid for wood but I think it was worth it. The New England winter decimated my stacks this year. I'm thinking this is largely Ash and some red oak. I'm terrible at identifying wood without leaves. I also don't think that vine is a poison - not leaves of three, let me be. But I'm going to be careful, nonetheless.

I'd say you did really well for $450! The vines look like English ivy; nothing to worry about. It's when you see the ones covered in thick hairs that you've got to be extra careful. Same problem here with the decimated stacks this winter too. I have enough rounds on hand to process but I'll need another Chipdrop load by the end of the year if I want to keep up.

For $450 for a tri axle that’s half of what I normally hear of as cheap. That’s $1,500 here and softwood. You did well, get more!

The guy did ask me if I wanted another load and I seriously debated it. I have his number now and he said they can get me a load almost all the time. I'll get this pile done and then see where we're at.

yeah we are not too far from each other. We got about 31 inches with this last storm. I have moved snow every day this week. I think English Ivy too, the veins in the leaf look right. I pretty much always have a Chip Drop request in. Only have received 2 drops so far in the last 2 years since learning about that site. The first drop was glorious, lots of silver maple that I'll burn next year. The second drop was awful - super punk! red oak rounds and a lot of wood chips. I've run out of places to put those wood chips.

I have no shortage of firewood but if I could buy a load of ash I'd definitely buy it.

    You did well.

Appears you did well @ 450. Loads like that are 6-800 in my neck of the woods.

Yup. ash and red oak from what I see. That's a good load will keep you :saw: :axe: :stacker: for some time.

Yes it has been a tough Winter here in NE. Cold then snow. Mud soon to follow. :hair:

The vines look like English ivy. Same type seen on the Ivy League buildings.

Well done, sir. Have they brought the 2nd load yet? Get it while it's still cold.
