We started splitting Saturday morning, got almost done the the tote above... when the thunderstorm started, got some heavy rain and wind. It lasted several hrs, which gave me time to finish grinding a few chains and other saw maintenance things. Miz Carol watched and kept me company. It finally quit raining late afternoon, so while Miz Carol was making 2 cheesecakes for 2 co-operator's that have birthdays today... I went back to the woodyard and finished that tote... I put the lid on and left it there for now, the woodyard was mush after that rain...
Between work and weather, wasn't able to visit the woodyard Monday or Tuesday evening. Wednesday fared better, Miz Carol had a ladies meeting at church, so I was unsupervised when I got home... Blue Samson enjoyed the exercise.. Didn't have a tall tote ready at the moment, probably stack that on my days off. Still got a pile to split, but making progress
Saturday morning we got the split pile stacked, had more than I thought, almost a tote full... 2 big rounds and a small one finished it up, tried out the new hitch and top link on the tractor, picks it up better
New hitch looks like a winner Jeff. Always enjoy seeing you and Miz Carol knocking it out of the park.
Thanks for sharing these pics! I'm jealous of those logs. Everything looks perfect- perfect logs cut to exact lengths, split exactly so. You do good work.
