We started splitting Saturday morning, got almost done the the tote above... 20260221_093352.jpg when the thunderstorm started, got some heavy rain and wind. It lasted several hrs, which gave me time to finish grinding a few chains and other saw maintenance things. Miz Carol watched and kept me company. It finally quit raining late afternoon, so while Miz Carol was making 2 cheesecakes for 2 co-operator's that have birthdays today... 20260222_214640.jpg
I went back to the woodyard and finished that tote... 20260221_164559.jpg
I put the lid on and left it there for now, the woodyard was mush after that rain...

If that was my house, each co-worker would have gotten 1/2 a cheescake for their bday!

Between work and weather, wasn't able to visit the woodyard Monday or Tuesday evening.
Wednesday fared better, Miz Carol had a ladies meeting at church, so I was unsupervised when I got home...:hair:
Blue Samson enjoyed the exercise..:axe: 20260225_210555.jpg
Didn't have a tall tote ready at the moment, probably stack that on my days off.
Still got a pile to split, but making progress 20260225_210616.jpg

New hitch looks like a winner Jeff. Always enjoy seeing you and Miz Carol knocking it out of the park.

Thanks for sharing these pics! I'm jealous of those logs. Everything looks perfect- perfect logs cut to exact lengths, split exactly so. You do good work.
