    That sounds awesome!

When our winter camping trips didn't involve an un-improved, we'd park at a trailhead, snowshoe in 1.5-2 miles, with river crossings, pitch a tent for 4 nights. We did that from '83 to 2009. Many an overnight snowfall. Good memories, glad we did it!

Looking through my sliding glass door, there is a round table and I'll bet there is every bit of +20" on it... o_O Still snowing lightly, very fine.

Atlantic city airport had a 55mph wind gust last night. I Know we had that here! I'll get the NOAA/USCG wind report at 0900 of what they got at the base when it's posted.

On the plus side, THIS part of my driveway won’t need to be cleared o_O

It’s really hard to tell how much we got so far. There’s a two foot drift outside my front door and only 3 inches on the back deck. The wind is still whipping like mad.

So far 100k customers in MA with no power.
The policy is if the wind is over 30-40 MPH then the utility crew is not allowed to climb and fix the poles because it is too dangerous so they said customers maybe without power for 5 days! See current outages map

I charged the batteries for my Dewalt flashlights and filled the tub with water for flushing. Losing power was my main concern. Some decent wind Sunday night and 16+" was our total. Landlord plowed Monday and I cleared the two vehicles and got hers back upon here. Pic from Monday morning. We got maybe another 1-2" after.

FHC has been down since Monday and just seeing this thread DSCF0624.JPG

Also parts of Cape Cod including Barnstable county lost power and will not get their power back until this Friday!
I could not post this until Wednesday night! Here is the message I got when trying to access this web site! Does anyone know why?

According to NBC Connecticut, my town got 14" Sunday night into midday Monday. There was so much blowing snow that I couldn't confirm it. Some areas of my yard had 3" while others had drifts 6' deep. The crummy part for me was when I went to run my snow blower Monday afternoon. It started right up, auger worked, then the drive wouldn't function. Not having a garage to work on it out of the elements, wind whipping like mad, I walked away from it and got to shoveling. After 3-4 hours and being 80% done, I recruited my 14 year old to take over for a while. Tuesday I finished the last 25 feet of driveway, then decided to just buy a new machine from big box orange. Today I woke up and shoveled another 2" of fresh snow before going to HD to pick up the new machine. Supposedly we're in the crosshairs for another big storm early next week, but we'll see. To say I've completely had it with snow removal this season is a huge understatement :picard:

Stay warm and safe for those in the storm, prayers. We've had high winds and microbursts, darn glass sliding door wall is trying to pull out of the studs and tons of dust/silt blowing in. It's been like a desert sand storm here on and off for a few days and frequent microbutsts and silt/sand in coming in everywhere.

Our rooster died 1.5 weeks ago and the hens stay out in the silt storms. I can't go herd them. Idk atleast they still know to go to bed and roost in the coop at night without him.
