45 minutes away but it's just a little extra gas. Nice load of maple and red oak plus a few rounds of locust

Thats a nice little load there. How was the mud factor at the cut? Cut a few rounds for me next time. Im WAY behind in my restocking.

Gonna try and cut some tomorrow myself before the blizzard gets here. It was mud city when I checked it out today. DSCF0623.JPG

I know about being behind. As far as mud that is the reason I travelled to this spot, cut right along the road. Only mud was a little soft in the shallow ditch. Actually that was the hardest part, hoisting the rounds up on to the road out of the ditch.

Just finished unloading, had to give my back some time to quit singing to me.

My normal MO for scrounging around here and trying to get away from doing that. If its safer and primo wood and I have the time ill go for it. Im rather spoiled by all the easy scores I've had in the last few years.

Looks to me like you are just trying to break in a new pair of shoes. When I was younger, we used to do that but usually it was done in the cow barn.

I use heat to ease that back pain.

This was a very rural road had maybe 5 cars pass by and 2 of those were the owners of the property.

Good for you. Maybe even sometimes some gentle hands help too!

Just finally got them broken in. Seemed like it took longer than usual.

I’ll settle for living vicariously through everyone’s posts. Been raining pretty much all day and expecting 5-8” of snow overnight into tomorrow.

Is there any more to get at that spot?

Several more loads there but it depends on conditions if I go back. I have closer wood to get and even have a load cut up, all depends on ground conditions.
