37 and rain. Had some sleet overnight but not a problem. Supposed to be warm but maybe like yesterday. It started to warm but that air kept feeling chilly. Spring is not here yet.

34/66. Wife let the fire go out yesterday and I didn’t relight before bed. Should have. Heard the hho run 2-3 times before waking up. Just lit a fire of 5 oak splits and 1 blocust. Crazy foggy here in the am, snow is almost gone. Mud is in full force.

53 and sunny yesterday afternoon so took advantage of it and let fire go out, cleaned chimney and ashes out of stove and did some stove maintenance.
Moving wood out side in a t-shirt....felt like summer time, but did start a fire in the evening.
35/67 this morning, pallet mill oak boards, poplar and basswood splits.

34 and overcast/foggy, heading to the mid 40s. Looks like I won’t be seeing the sun until next Tuesday :hair: At least the stove room is warm and cheery, burning an ash/tulip poplar mix.

Snowing again. :picard: Plowed yesterday-very heavy wet stuff. I think it may have been some sort of white cement!

    34. Yesterday started as rain. Temp stayed in 30's until afternoon. We had a short warmup where we almost hit 50 and sunny but then fog moved in, again. Temp fell. The weird part is 13 miles from us it hit 60 degrees. We didn't hit 50 and the weather station 20 miles north got only to around 40. Crazy weather but looks like the party is over with wet and cooler weather now.

34, foggy. Rain moving in today. Still have a bunch of snow around the house. Full mud season in the woods though.

39, supposed to be about that all night. Let the fire go out during the day and just relighting it now with some oak and a piece of pine. Tossed a scoop of match light charcoal in too. Made the mistake of buying that garbage, need to use it up.

32/78 Chunks. We hardly lost any snow in our long overdue, short lived warm up and about 6 more inches coming in the next couple days.

Mother Nature is messing with me. After a week of daytime 70's and lows in the 50-60's. We are headed for a stretch of highs in the 40's and lows down to 18. I haven't had a fire in days but have restocked the wood pile on the porch. This has been the warmest February I can remember.

41 and rain. Oak keeping the natural gas man away. Furnace only ran a couple minutes to bring house to 68 this morning. It’ll be a wet soggy week coming up. Yuck.

Big cool-down overnight, lots of wind today. 35 out now. Maple syrup weather all week.

    Square wood in the boiler.

Huh! With the sun and warmer temps, all I got was about a 5 sq ft of bare gravel in the driveway. Long gone since the temps dropped and snow began once again a couple days ago.

    26 and snowing.

Winter has been returned in almost full strength. Another day off for kids as lots of schools are closed once again.

Last two days were kinda poopy weatherwise and today will be no exception. I plowed on Wed, should have plowed on Thu and will have to plow today as there is a chance of 10" additional.

I called the road commission at the end of Jan and asked to have my driveway snowbanks pushed back with the "wing" but they never got around to it. I made another call yesterday and was told I don't know why they didn't. Probably because my neighbor pushed the banks back at the driveway entrance....but only there.

28*F last night and 45*F for today. Had the furnace on briefly at first light to start heating while the wood stove was getting hot. Doug fir splits with knots are doing the work. Wif rustled up a breakfast of sausage and eggs and hash browns with onions. Lots of hot black coffee! Probably drag the splitter out and process about a half cord of rounds lurking in my small wood yard. Then again, I may just take a nap in the big lounger next to the fire! Could go either way.:)
