PSI, rear end does get a bit light, but 4WD takes care of that. Need to put shim kit in it like we had in the L3130.

Amazing, this didn't have much smell to it. Maybe because it had been down since Hurricane Helene in Sept '24.

Miz Carol had errands to run and taking her sister to Dr's office, so I was unsupervised...:hair::whistle::rofl: ...
Started on the rounds by the splitter, clear grain and 4way wedge. Did a couple and a neighbor, Kenny stopped by. Next thing I know, he's got gloves and and is stacking splits. 20260218_115204.jpg
He stayed on and we got the knotty ones done too, went single wedge on those, he was a real blessing then with those big halves. Split what we could get off clean, then noodled the big knots to size, only had about 3 pieces for the firepit pile.
All the big logs that were brought down are done...total from them...
    20260218_131442.jpg
That's a full Goat Town Farwood cord there.
20260218_131430.jpg And only need that half of front row to finish 4th tote. So almost 1.3 cords from 8 logs...33 rounds.:thumbs::thumbs:

Nice work! I need to get working on my pile of rounds. It’s kind of in a lake right now because we had a week of 40° temps that melted the snow and then rain for a day and now more snow.

Wow, that would be tough conditions. We had a really wet spring several years ago. Had a stream of water running through the woodyard. Mom's basement had about 3" of water seep in through the concrete floor/block walls...the video starts at her house and down to ours...

We had one year when it went from -20 to 70’s overnight. There was a lot of snow and the field across the road was flooded with a huge snow drift and plowed snow holding it back. When that dam broke, all hell broke loose. It washed out part of the road and came right down the driveway. It took days for it to drain and run off because of the frost.

Sort of...lol...when the bark doesn't split along the wood line, we usually take it off. This bark was getting loose, som tiny borers were just under the bark, and we want it to dry faster. Some also had a bit of fungus starting where logs had been on ground.

After Kenny helped me finish the big rounds, next day Miz Carol helped me start on the smaller rounds.
We finished the 4th tote that Kenny had been stacking 20260219_090635.jpg
    20260219_093730.jpg
And started on the 5th tote...got this much done before quitting time. 20260219_124420.jpg
We had these rounds left... 20260219_124411.jpg
Yesterday morning, we finished that tote, and got a 6th tote started, when those rounds were done...so the original log pile made 1 2/3 cords+... 20260220_091435.jpg
After helping our son move a chicken brooder and 1 1/2 hr rain, sun came out and decided to move and buck more logs...
Got Blue Samson more fodder ready... 20260220_145115.jpg
Hope to split this morning, if the thunderstorm holds off.

    Nice!

I hope to be getting some ash splitting done today. I got my carb back for my splitter. Gotta put it on now, and I'll remember to enjoy the gas tank and get any crud out of it. Basically a brand new carb now and he only charged 10 bucks in labor. The rest was parts. That's not worth my time.

How much do you think a full tote weighs?

These 330gal totes are very heavy with green oak. The tractor will barely pick them up enough to move. Once they dry awhile, it does Ok.
275gal totes are a bit better.

Close to 250, I think. I'll check in a bit.
