Hello I have the same model same problem! Anyone else have this issue and fix theirs? Snow Joe Snow blower dies during review This is what I did. I had the same model exact model SJ625E for only 3 years and the thermal breaker tripped twice. After the second time I smelled an electric burning smell so the motor burned out. I called the Snow Joe Service number 1-866-766-9563 first time I went thru the AI troubleshooting and all my answers were correct with the proper extension cord but no answer about the burned motor. The second time I called and said replacement parts, I got a link to all the available parts for this model but not replacement electric motor. The 3rd time I called this service service number I said agent and after a delay I was connected to a live agent! I asked for a replacement AC electric motor for this corded model and was on hold for a few mins as she looked it up. When she came back she said there is no electric motor available however she could offer the new model SJ627E model $249.95 with a 15 % discount for approximately $212 However it is out of stock at this time and are awaiting for an overseas shipment. The discount will be valid when they get more in and if I leave my email address they will send me a notice when they arrive. In the meantime time I found a newer SJ627E brand new in a box for $200 cash near me on Valantines Day so I scooped it up.
Hello I forgot to mention Some units have a red reset button for the thermal breaker but this model and newer models have an auto reset after a few mins but the second time it took a lot longer to reset!
