33 headed to mid 40’s. I’ll have the draft closed for day burns this week. Finally slowing the split demand down.
31, small splits of mulberry for the mornings reload. I'll need to bring a cart of splits down after work today. Hopefully that gets me into March.
Should be in the upper 50's today. Cooling off by this weekend, at least back to normal which is about 15 to 20 degrees cooler.
38/68 headed up to 48. Another day or two there won’t be any snow left. Burning some oak this morning and might even let the fire go out during the day.
I was watching TWC forecast for your area and thinking it is good you washed the "white" SUV, it will be easier to find now in the snowdrift.
We hit a nice patch of warm weather. Close to 60 today, close to 70 tomorrow. Not going to last too long, back in the 30's by the weekend. The ground must be starting to thaw pretty deep. For a while we had 1" of snot on top of frozen ground, but things are drying up so I assume it is able to drain down deeper.
Last few mornings it's been low to mid 30's. This morning was 36º. Much better than 6º a couple weeks back... Still burning Oak splits slow. I'm down to my last 1/4 cord of wood for the winter. I'm hoping March comes in mello... We've had some nice ones and some real A$$KICKERS!
It has been pretty nice this week, but it got windy and rainy while I was in the shop tonight. Blowing like crazy now.
The smell sure says pin (smelly) oak. With any luck I can get it split off the truck this weekend, but I will see as I hear a bathroom calling my name.
30 snow, rain ice mixed Strong winds from the east "fit for neither man nor beast" All kinds of warnings, watches and advisories out now. The "January thaw" was nice but it's definitely back to winter now.
