This year's Wood and Sons have been an epic disappointment...VERY low heat. My stove is clean from the glass door to the stove pipe connected to the chimney. Just changed the door gasket, too. I need a ton of a HOT pellet to blend with this junk to get us through the rest of this month and February. I paid 385/ton for these pellets and live near HD, TS, Lowes and a couple of pellet houses. Anything HOT to be found there??? I can get a Northern Supreme pellet (.03 ash- 9,000 BTU hardwoods) ton for $389 in nearby MA. Anybody have experience with these??? Stove likes Somersets but can't find any nearby. Suggestions???
Check with the store you bought them at, if possible they will replace or swap them with new pallets of W&S or something else of equal value to when you bought them. Worst case, contact the W&S mill directly, in they past they have been known to take care of situations like this. In a pinch, check at TSC, if you get lucky, they will have MWP; the heat from those will not disappoint!
**** I got Okies from TS in Putnam,CT. My few woods left over from 2 years ago are great. As TT said contact them, I got a bad batch of VT's once and they came down with half a ton for me, said they would have given me the whole ton. But i had burned a lot to make sure I was not crazy (or crazier) and they let me keep the rest as some bags were still good. (he could tell by the stipe on the bags).
