Morning all. Warm, dark and windy with the prospect of rain. Yesterday was nice as we didn't get the rain that was predicted until evening.
It has been a busy week. I got called into work as the person's mother had a medical emergency. I don't know if I am working next week or not. So any plans I had went out the window. Retirement is like that. You really can't plan ahead. Not only that but our Hydro company did a planned (? didn't tell anyone) maintenance outage in our area for one of those days.
So nice to get to the Sabbath and leave all that behind.

Let those who love the Lord hate evil, for he guards the lives of his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. Psalm 97:10

We can get caught up in the politics, troubles and worries of the world so much so that we lose our focus on Jesus and follow the ways of the world. Although He was here in the world, His focus was on doing His Father's will. When we love the Lord, His life of love and service should be our theme in life. As T.Jeff Veal would say - "Be the hands of Jesus"

Final tally for the morning. I traded one for some venison sticks with my spearing buddy who has his spear house about 400 yards away from mine. He didn’t see any this morning.

All done moving snow. Vehicles still snow covered. But, we can get outta here with minimal effort, if need be.

Good morning, members.

A balmy 1⁰ and breezy. -30⁰, or some other crazy wind chill number. Won't be surprised if it dropped another degree or two. 16⁰ should be the high, with sun all day. Clear bright half-moon shining.

Most of todays activities, will involve snow. The vehicles need to be cleared. Some shovel work here-n-there. Light fluffy snow.

I'll make a garden salad to have later with shrimp cocktail. We both enjoy adding extra-hot horseradish to the basic cocktail sauce.

And oh, there's football tonight. Go Pats!!

I need to better understand how to watch Kid Rock's halftime show.

Good morning. Church then finishing our food preparations for our Super Bowl party. A good game would be a bonus. Heading for 32 today.

 

Morning all. It is dark outside but not raining. Temps just above freezing as it was clearing off last night when we drove back from cleaning the church.
I am heading over to visit Mom today and will miss the first part of the SuperBowl. Go SeaHawks! sorry MikeInMa It should be quite the game. Of course all of the west coast think it is already a dune deal for the SeaHawks.

Other than a visit with mom, a this-n-that day ahead.

In no way did we expect the Patriots to be in the Super Bowl. Too bad they weren't more competitive last night. Seattle made it look easy from where we sit.
