3/74 white oak and cherry. Fire was burning like crap the last day or two. Thought the oak might not be ready. Let it die today and decided to clean the pipe even though I did it around the last week of December. About 3x the amount of creosote as last clean out. Makes me think the month of 0 degree temps might of really been cooling down the pipe.

25/68, more oak and a few scraps of 1x8s lingering around. This tote of oak seems dryer than the last few. Ive been splitting a little every afternoon but digging around the snow to find rounds slows progress. Something is better than none!

21/73, loaded up with oak. Forecast shows single digit lows this weekend but next week highs in the 40s and maybe 50.

18º out. This is sounding like a broken record! 68º in. Letting coals burn down for clean out again, supposed to get to 36º here and sunny. Maybe some melting.

Temp dropped to 8 overnight then started rising. 16 right now. We might get a very brief warmup tomorrow but then back to zero again until Tuesday.

60 something today. Had to mount a StarLink and didn't even wear my jacket. Had to help get the stove going this evening, that's a first in quite a while and only do it a few times a year.

Whoa!!!! 60 just doesn't sound right in February. Scary thinking about that and realizing how hot it might get next summer.

32/68. Snowing out, I think I’ll need to go push the drifts along the drive back from the wind we had. Another load of oak. Must’ve felt lazy the day I split some of these. Pretty large!!
