Just that it is specialty stuff...overpriced...limited selection too, comparatively.

That's actually precast limestone. Grade will come up onto it

After work, I was able to get my log splitter into the trailer. It's easier to not fight gravity, and have it help you.

Ok Horkn how did you get trailer lower than splitter to have gravity help you.

    Hillside?

When I owned my Harley and had to load it into the back of the truck for whatever reason, I would back the truck into a ditch, lower the tailgate and with the aid of a short plank drive right into the bed of the truck.

Park the front wheel against the front wall of the bed and then ratchet strap from the handle bars to lower front corners of mentioned wall. Never moved!

I see it now...Lot of money to look sorta like a block wall. Probably look better when landscaped and no snow

    Bingo!

Towed the splitter up to the driveway, unhooked it, then got the trailer hooked up and backed up to about 2-3 ft from the edge of the driveway where there's a slope. I used the ATV ramps and then just rolled the splitter down the slight uphill, then onto the trailer. Once in the trailer it quickly went to a downhill, so I had wood blocks to stop it from crashing the trailer fencing.

I was done in 15 minutes, most of that time jockeying the equipment around.

Yeah I did not see a lot of grade in your pics. As my yard has so little flat that’s dry, finding a hill for me is easy, finding flat not so much

Did a little crawling around in the shop attic this morning tapping into the old door opener outlet and adding a new high position wall outlet to power the new door opener. Easy job, even for attic work.

Not sure what I have on the agenda for this evening.

Phase one complete. These 4 come to the sound of corn being shook in a plastic bucket. The last 2 or 3 days they've come to that sound.

Metal drain pans and some corn will bring them in from miles away. We stayed at a vacation rental up in the mountains one time and they had a "deer kit" of sorts, and they always came in...sometimes it took a while but probably because they were farther away.

That's reassuring. I'm hoping once they get trained it'll keep happening. Most times it's just these 4 and other times there's 14 out there.

I went out the front door yesterday evening to get some firewood after they had eaten their corn. The doe and two yearlings were in the yard. Once she saw me her nose immediately goes up in the air and she started walking towards me like I was going to feed them again. Lol.

There's enough grade here. Nothing crazy, no zero turn mower flip worthy hills, but enough to make traction an issue with a trailer loaded full of firewood and 2wd and wet grass, let alone any amount of snow.
