4, feel -4. Downstairs a balmy 60*. Just reloaded with BL and mulberry to get stove back up to temps. Not looking forward to work this morning.
My climate is -2 and lowering and my indoor climate is 65 and rising. Definitely changing! Good Cold Morning to everyone! Ash on last nights coals. Only one for now as it's a bit long as had to squeeze it in there, ever so gently! more of this:
Welcome aboard! That garage looks really awesome. That firebox looks intense! Custom job, or made from a kit? Also- the boots with the rubber coating, are those slip ons or do they come that way? Sorry for all the questions.
2/68. Red oak and hickory chugging along. I'm ready for this stuff to head back north where it belongs. My name is Mike, and I'm a hoarder in Ok. Lopi Endeavor and Republic 1250
A very mild 14 at the moment! Heading for 26 Got up at 2:00 with an indoor temp of 73........ Way, too hot
-18 this morning. It's been quite a cold spell. New wood boiler doing the job keeping the radiant happy. Also it's long cold spells like this that justifies my extreme measures taken insulating our building. Lots of 2nd hand and new "2nds" foam sheets (p.iso) to the tune of 41/2" inches. You can still sense the cold slowly creeping inwards.
I will try to post pictures and some comments on my stove in the non EPA stove section. The boots are work shoes with slip on rubber over shoes. I dislike rubber knee boots. Wore ‘em for decades when I worked at the family dairy and they freeze your feet in the winter and boil them in the summer. And insulated boots are frightfully expensive.
-5 in WV. 71 inside. Currently burning RO and Ash. We've went through more wood the last couple of weeks than we did the last couple of months.
Welcome to this crazy site Gearclash. You may find yourself both teaching and learning stuff about everything wood.
