Well that sucked

Sounds like a Blown & Gasket problem.

 

Every year I do a couple or so of motor "conversions". Have even removed the stator and rotor from a new off the shelf motor and fitted it to a built in motor that was destroyed in a fire. Custom shafts and c face mounts etc.

 

That thing would be gold as soon as you needed it!

 

In hindsight, I should have taken the motor off first and brought it to a place that sells them.

 

It was cold but the real cold came the day after I got it fixed.

 

There aren't many owb's around here so virtually no service guys have experience with them.

 

When I was home yes but firewood demand has been sky high!

 

Storms possibly loss of power causes people to turn brain on? Or no minute like last minute?

 

Yesterday’s high didn’t make it to 20 and we hit -5 this morning. That is darn cold for us here in south Jersey. This whole week we’ve been below 25 during the day and single digits at night. So glad I’m not hearing the gas heater kicking on!
