    Cold and calm here. 7⁰/22⁰ Fern says hello mid-morning, and says goodbye late Monday. Way over-staying it's visit. Over 2 feet is forecasted.

    We bad a good night out at a group dinner. Good change of scenery for a few hours.

    Just some last-minute storm prep. Fill bird feeders, locate vehicles to facilitate snowblowing...etc.

    Apple sausage from the 5/25 GTG gets to meet its destiny on a Forman Grill, this afternoon. It'll be joined by some baked beans and a beer.

    Football this afternoon. Go Pats!!

    Good morning everyone! The temperature has gone from -9 to -4 already this morning. Sign of a heatwave around the corner? I think we are ready for the storm. Snow starts around noon. I hope the FHC site stays up. I look forward to everyone's reports.

    The snow isnt as bad as expected, but it is forecast to continue falling through the day. 11 degrees at the moment. Took the time to cover wood in the shed and other places set aside for the cold week.
    Mrs Sourwood had a conference in New Mexico, and visiting a cousin. I advised staying there and not fly home Saturday night. The airline made her decision for her.

    Agenda is sitting in view of the bird feeders, and snow.

    Morning all, about 8º out, steady light snow, not much accumulation (yet) maybe an inch or 2. Coming harder though since we got up. Pups went out 5:15am and again, didn't stay out long. It's supposed to be a complete "Mixed bag" of $#!T weather here later... :picard:

    Sitting here enjoying the heat from the stove and warmer outside too. It is snowing but very light and we do not expect much. At the rate it is coming now we won't get an inch and that is fine with me. I do not wish to plow snow today. I can put wood in stove but that's about all.

    North GA is a mess of ice, but we're good so far. Church service today and this evening. Rest and tending the stove in between.

    Cold and overcast today. 12⁰/19⁰ calm

    I haven't measured how much, but it looking like we got ~15inches of snow. Additional inches to fall later this afternoon.

    No loss of power or cable. Made for enjoyable football viewing!

    Today's activities will be all about snow management. I'll be happy to get the driveway cleared, vehicles uncovered, and the bottom third of the roof raked to lesson the chance of ice dams. Gaining access to the woodyard will wait until tomorrow.
